This issue brings together five articles that examine the evolving intersections of religion, political authority, and the digital public sphere in contemporary Indonesia. The contributions explore topics such as algorithmic amplification and electoral polarization, the infrastructure of fatwas in local governance, and the role of religious authority in digital circulation and policy legitimacy. Additional studies address hybrid moral sovereignty in content moderation, platformized halal governance, and religious giving within the gig economy. Collectively, these articles offer rigorous theoretical and empirical insights into how religion, technology, and power interact in shaping democracy, governance, and public life in the digital age.
